Dr. Lyn Corbett

Dr. Lyn Corbett is a trusted expert in strategic planning, governance, and leadership development, helping mission-driven organizations maximize impact and drive sustainable growth. As President of The Pivotal Group, he has guided nonprofits, government agencies, and businesses through transformational change for over two decades.

An Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego and Point Loma Nazarene University, Lyn teaches graduate-level courses on leadership, strategy, and governance. He has also led executive training programs for San Diego, Sonoma, and Santa Clara counties, equipping leaders with the tools to thrive.

A Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and ICF-Certified Leadership Coach, Lyn holds a Doctorate in Organizational Development and Leadership from the University of San Diego and a Master’s in Public Administration from NYU. He is the author of Hope is Not a Strategy and was recognized as Volunteer of the Year (2020) and a featured leader in USA Today (2023).
